Crisis Services
Please note that our office is not equipped to handle after-hours crises. For individuals struggling with psychotic disorders, intense suicidal or homicidal ideation or an inability to take care of their basic needs, we recommend they seek care a higher level of care (typically physically seeing someone at a brick-and-mortar practice and ideally at an office where the providers are credentialed at the local hospital). This transition may be recommended by your provider if they deem appropriate and if that is the case, we'll be happy to connect you to other offices in your area.
If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911 or go to the nearest ER or psychiatric hospital. See below for a list of psychiatric hospitals.
Behavioral Health Facilities:
For those living in the Raleigh area, go to Triangle Springs or Holly Hill for an assessment. For those in the Winston-Salem area, we recommend Cone Behavioral Hospital or Old Vineyard. For those in Charlotte, we recommend Atrium Behavioral Health.
