Our Approach

At Blooming Medical Group, PLLC, we diagnose and treat various mental illnesses using an interdisciplinary approach. Studies suggest that a combination of medication, psychotherapy, and various lifestyle changes offer the best outcomes. Medication isn't appropriate for everyone and we are judicious with prescribing. No one should be overmedicated or on medication longer than necessary. This is a hybrid practice, meaning we offer both virtual and in-person (in Charlotte) appointments.

Who We Treat

Residents of North Carolina ages 13 and up* are eligible for treatment. Medication management is available for the following: Depression, Anxiety (including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, phobias, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), Bipolar Disorder, Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and various addictions. We do not prescribe Suboxone/Subutex but do prescribe other anticraving medications.

What We Can Offer

In addition to diagnosis and medication management (refer to our services offered here), oftentimes individuals require more comprehensive workup and/or care. We can also help with:

  • Medical workup (e.g., labs, imaging) and referral to medical provider if appropriate

  • Referral to therapist (e.g., social worker, counselor, psychologist)

  • If diagnosis is unclear or unusually complicated, we can arrange for psychological testing or neuropsychological testing

  • Connect you to higher level of care including intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP), inpatient hospitalization, or residential programs

  • Treatment-Resistant Depression may warrant non-medication approaches that include ketamine therapy, neurofeedback, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), or electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and we can help with these referrals.
